Accoya®, the world’s most stable wood

About Accoya®

Accoya® is wood, but not as you know it. It is modified timber in which a process called acetylation, a cutting-edge patented technology, enables it to resist rot, defy the elements and stay strong for decades. Guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground or freshwater, its performance and properties are remarkable. Accoya® is always durability class 1.

Accoya® wood is easier to coat, less preparation and sanding is required.

Accoya® has an outstanding durability

Accoya® wood’s durability (rot resistance) is Class 1, matching and even exceeding the performance of nature’s most durable woods such as Oak, Teak, Iroko and Sapele. Every batch of Accoya® wood is tested after production to ensure that its durability can be guaranteed.
Perfect for use in demanding external applications, even in fresh water.

Accoya® is dimensionally stable

Accoya® wood’s superior dimensional stability (resistance to swelling and shrinkage) exceeds all commonly used species, including Teak, Sapele and Iroko.
